A Bridging Visa C (BVC) allows the holders to remain in Australia lawfully if they lodge a valid application for another substantive visa onshore after the last visa held by them expires. For example if your last substantive has expired but you lodge an application for another substantive visa within a given period after its expiry, you will be granted a BVC. This visa is issued free of cost and generally granted when the application for a substantive visa is lodged within the permissible timeframe after expiry of the last substantive visa held.
BVA applications carry a nominal charge that is payable to DHA and we will be pleased to provide further details if you contact us or schedule an appointment with a registered migration consultant.
