It is important to provide verifiable documentary evidence that you are a genuine visitor and will return to your home country after spending a short period time, generally ranging from a few weeks to several months. It is also important to establish that you will not indulge in any activities that are not in Australia’s best interest.

  • Visa Application Charge – A$150 for offshore applicants and A$370 for onshore applicants
  • Each applicant is required to lodge an independent application
  • Applications for a visitor visa is generally finalised in under 6 weeks
  • In certain cases, applicants may can apply for a visitor visa onshore i.e. while they are in Australia
  • Validity of visitor visa can range from a few months up to 3 years for a single or multiple entries
  • At times the department of immigration can also place a condition 8503 – No Further Stay on a visitor visa, which means the applicant cannot apply for another visa while in Australia
